  • Overall, institutions performed best on competence (66/100), followed by contribution (65/100), and then integrity (62/100), which continues to be an area of concern for Australians.
  • The public sector continued its strong performance post-pandemic with a leadership score of 71/100, followed by the not-for-profit sector (63/100), private sector (61/100) and government sector (58/100).
  • More specifically, emergency services (80), postal services (71), public health (71), charities (70) and higher education (70) finished 2022 strongly, while leisure and gaming (44), state governments (55), religious institutions (56), media companies (58), and aged care institutions (59) performed poorly.
