The national leadership score is unchanged at 63/100 in the Jan-Mar 2024 quarter, as cost of living, housing, data security, natural disasters, and youth crime remain key leadership topics.

  • The public sector performed strongest at 73 (no change QoQ). The not-for-profit sector remained at 65, while the private sector declined to 60 (-1) and government sector declined to 56 (-1).
  • The federal government's leadership score plummeted to 51 (-7) this quarter and is now at its lowest point since the Albanese government came into power. Law enforcement also fell to 65 (-4), resulting from media coverage of increasing crime rates. Supermarket leadership scores declined further to 61 (-3), stemming from investigations around price gouging.
  • Public postal services leadership ratings improved to 74 (+3), as did public health institutions, now 72 (+2). And interestingly, leisure and gaming companies are showing signs of recovery, now rated 47 (+5).
